Installing the Zoom application. Visit our Download Center. Under Zoom Client for Meetings, click Download. Double click the downloaded file. It is typically saved to your Downloads folder. Once the installer opens, click Continue. Choose the destination for installation. Due to increased security and permissions with Mac OS 10.14 Mojave and 10.15 Catalina, you will be prompted to authorize the Zoom Desktop Client and Zoom Rooms to use the microphone, camera, and on Mac OS 10.15 Catalina, screen recording. You will also be prompted to allow the Zoom Desktop Client to allow others to remotely control your desktop.

Updating the Zoom Desktop Client on a Mac
Option 1:
Free Zoom Download For Mac
- Open the Application Folder or launchMission Control
- Locate the Zoom/Zoom.us application
- Double click on the Zoom application to launch it
- On the top-right of the Zoom Desktop Client, click on your picture or initials
- From the drop-down menu, click on Check for Updates
- If updates are available, click on the Install button
Option 2:
- Launch your Google Chrome web browser
- Navigate to https://bates.zoom.us/download
- From the Download Center, click on the download button under 'Zoom Client for Meetings'
- Open the Zoom.pkg
- Follow the prompts for installing the Zoom Desktop Client for Mac

- Login using your Bates username and password
- Request Type: UserEntered -> Web Entered Ticket -> Zoom Support
- Enter a Ticket Subject
- Enter your Description
- Click on the Save button
- Logout by clicking on the green disconnect button located on the top-right the window
